When My Second Child Was Born

One unforgotable day in my life was the day when my second child was born. On June 6-2005 at 7:00 AM I was in my apartment with my family when stronger constractions would begin every 5 minutes. Then I decide to go to the hospital with my husban and my mother . I had mixed feelings, I was happy, nervous and in pain. Whe I arrived at the hospital the doctor cheched me but I had only dialated 4 cm. The constractions were really stronger, and the doctor ordered to give me the epidural in order to alliviate the intensive pain. A few minutes later, the anestesiologist assiatant gave me the epidural. It was 3 times before the head anestesiologist gave me the 4th one, and not until then did the pain go away. One hour later, my beutiful baby was born. He had his big eyes opened and his cries were loud. After that. my daughter arrived at the hospital to meet her brother. I can't forget how excited she was. There are several differences between these two cellphones companies.  First of all, the Metro PCs browser is so very slow that you need to wait like five minutes to open a page.  But AT&T 's opens in seconds.  Second, Metro PCs is cheaper than AT&T.  In Metro PCs you pay around $60.00 dollars, and it is an unlimited plan. An unforgettable experience

An unforgettable experience in my life was giving birth my son. I was at home getting ready for my monthly check-up. Suddenly I felt something coming out from my legs. My water-bag was broken. I called my husband and he called the doctor. After that we went to the hospital and my labor started. After four hours of labor the doctor told us that the baby has to delivery by a c-sec ion, because the baby was too big, and he was in sitting position. Then the nurse took me to another room to get anesthesia while my husband was getting ready for the great moment. At about twenty minutes, I hear ed my baby crying. It was such amazing feeling that I can't describe, that moment I will never going to forget. Finally, we saw our baby and touched and kissed him. In conclusion, giving birth my son was a wonderful experience in my life.

Differences between my cellphones

There are many differences between my new and old cell phones. The old one was touch screen and the new one is not. I like the new one more because the old was blue and the new one is pink. The old cell was very slow and the new one is very fast. The old one had a lot applications and this one not. The two cellphones are from different company. The old one was Metro and this one is Sprint. Finally, I like my new cellphone very much.

*My Visa*

In 2001, I will never forget all the appointments that my family had in order to obtain the visas to travel to the United States. First all, my husband, my son and I went to the first appointment in February. In that appointment the consul only gave my husband the visa. We felt very sad, but we had hope.  That day, the embassy gave us a next interview to determine the visas for my son and me. Then after two weeks, we went to expected interview at the embassy. In the interview, we were happy because that day the consul approved our visas. But the visas would be delivered in a week. Finally, my son and I went to pick up the visas. Then the next day, I was able to get tickers to travel to Miami where our family lived. In conclusions, I considered that I had several appointments to go to the embassy to obtain the visa.

Best experience in my life.

The best experience in my life was the first time when I went to Universal Orlando Resort with my family and my best friend. This day was unforgettable in my life. First, the night before the trip, I prepare everything that I needed for the day that I would be in Orlando and then I went to slept early. In the morning, I woke up around 5:00 am and I went to Orlando. After three and a half hours in the car, I arrived at the park. My mom bought the tickets and we went quickly to the rides. The Incredible Hulk Rollercoaster was the first one that I rode. This roller coaster, in less than two seconds gets from zero to 40 mph , with the force equal to that of a jet taking off . The second ride that I rode was the “Dragon Challenge” . They are two high-speed roller coasters and each "dragon" is a completely different ride. After that, I went with my best friend to eat pizza and cookies. When I finished eating, I went to see “Shrek 4-D.The animation was awesome, the music was fun and 4D vision made it more realistic. Then, I saw the E.T adventure and I rode “The Simpsons ride” and all the other rides that were in the park. At night, when I left the park I was very happy because this day was incredible and amazing. In conclusion, Universal Orlando Resort is a good place where you can go to have fun with your family and It is one of the places I will never forget.

Last year when I received my residence card I diced to visit Cuba in order to see my mom, my sister and friends. The day of the travel was amazing. I woke up early in the morning and my dad drove to the airport. When I left the airport in Cuba I took a taxi because nobody knew that I was in Cuba. It was a surprise for everyone. When I sow my house I began to cry, I was so nervous and excited. I haven't seen my mom for a year in a half and I did something that I used to do it when I was living with her. I used to stand below of the balcony of my house and shout mom I'm here. At the time that my mom heard my voice she ran to the door and, when she sow me her legs began to shake and almost fell down. She was very surprise. However my mom was not the only person who I wanted to see. I wanted to see my little sister too. My sister was in the school at that moment, so I went to see her there. She was sitting at her desk doing her school works. When I sow her I stood in front of her and said her "Tata".When she sow me she ran to me and hugged me. That day was amazing and I will never forget that experience.

"My first day of classes in my three years of college in Cuba"

One of the most unforgettable experiences in my life was my first day of school and my three years of college in my native country Cuba. That was a beautiful morning in the year 2004.I woke up that morning , and I was happy and excited at the same time because I was expecting that, the day will be great.I was a little nervous too about meeting new people and beginning the process of learning almost everything about computers, because I studied computer technician those three years.I chose to attend a school named "Martires de Chile",that was close to my grandmother's house, but it wasn't close to my house.Every morning I had to take a bus really early to be on time for classes. That first day when I got to school I sat on a bench in the school's park to wait to enter to the classroom. My classroom was on the second floor because my school had four floors. When I entered to the classroom, I saw like thirty students sitting and talking really low.The professor came into the classroom and greeted with us nicely.During the class the teacher talked about the course and about everything that was important to know. Then the students introduced themselves and in that way I made some new friends. The professor was excellent during my three years of college and the friends that I made ,are still the most important friends that I have .We shared beautiful moments together as a classroom and a team. After that first day, everything was really exciting.I had a lot of fun and I learned many things those three years. In conclusion my first day of college in Cuba and my three years of study were a really amazing experience, that I never forget.

A Mother of Eight

Pets have a special place in my heart. One of the most unforgettable experiences in my life was January 22, 2010; the day which my dog, Samantha, became a mother for the first time. The night before the day she gave birth, she was really nervous and walked back and forth in the laundry room. I was nervous too because that was also the first time for me in that kind of experience. Around nine o'clock in the morning the first puppy came out. Then, one after another, they were coming about every thirty to forty minutes. The following days, eight wonderful puppies began to grow and get stronger. About a week later, the four females and the four males started to open their eyes. I was really happy and spent a lot of time with them. As the days passed, they learned to walk, run, play, and bite. To conclude, I can say that it was very sad to see them go, one by one, when they got to be two months old. But that will never overshadow what was an special and amazing experience for me from beginning to end.

A Good Student

Students are always trying to find the characteristics to grade instructors. But sometimes, we need to think in what an instructor can expect from students. There are many characteristics that can describe a good student. First, a good student is someone who shows interest of what he or she or he is learning in class. For instance, if a student asks and participates during the class, the result may be that this student will obtain positive result in grades. Second, a good student must show respect to the instructor and classmates. For example, if a student is in class on time, and also speaks with the adequate level of respect; we can expect that this will be a good student and person. my two houses

In my entire life, I have lived in two houses only. One house was in Cuba and the other one is where I am living now. First, the house that I used to lived in Cuba is bigger than the house that I am living in Miami. My house in Cuba has three bathrooms, four rooms, a big kitchen, and garage.  In contrast, the house where I am living now has two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a small kitchen. Second, the two houses have different views. My current house has a beautiful view to a big lake; on the other hand, my old house has a wonderful view also, but it is of a forest.  In addition, my house here has central air conditioning; however, the house in Cuba  has only air conditioning in my room.  In conclusion, in spite of the differences between the two houses, I can't choose which is the home of my dreams because I have lived wonderful experiences in both.
In the summer of 2009 I went with my family to one of the most beautiful places in South Florida, Key West. I spent three days there enjoying the sun, the beach and the historic places. The first day we walked around the key. we visited some museums, the point that marks the 90 miles from there to Cuba and a lot of interesting stores. The next morning we woke up early to prepare the boat for a fishing adventure. After a few hours in the middle of the ocean, we caught around 20 dolphins and, we decided to go back to cook them. That night we had a delicious dinner. The last day we stayed in the hotel swiming in the pool and playing dominos. Sunday night we came back to Miami, but it was the only bad thing becuase there was a lot of trafic on the way. In conclusion, that was one of the most exciting trips that I ever had in my life.

" My Visa "

That day, the embassy gave us a next interview to determine the visas for my son and me. Then after two weeks, we went to expected interview at the embassy.

I remember that day there were a lot of people waiting outside of the embassy.

In the interview, we were happy because that day the consul approved our visas. But the visas would be delivered in a week. Finally, my son and I went to pick up the visas.

The ways of life in Cape Coral vs Hialeah

The ways of life in Cape Coral is different than the way of life in Hialeah. There are several differences. For examples, Cape Coral is a new city. It has a lot of new construction and has nice neighborhoods with new houses and roads. On the other hand, Hialeah is an old city.  Most of the neighborhoods are old and some of roads need to be fixed.  In Cape Coral, public services are excellent, like health facilities and education.  In Hialeah, the health services are poor and most of the schools are overcrowded with students. However, the public transportation in Hialeah is a little better than in Cape Coral. Hialeah has more bus routes than Cape Coral because it is an older city. In addition, Cape Coral is a modern city, and if you visit it, you will love it. In conclusion, the ways of life in Cape Coral are different than in Hialeah.

My first Trip to Honduras.

I am going yo talk about my first trip to Honduras. First of all, I was so nervous to see again my family. When I was in the plane arriving to my country was so amazing how Honduras looks in the air. When I arrived to Honduras airport, there were a long line to go through migration. I spent like 30 minutes there. After that I went to pick up my bags. That process was quickly. But I was anxoius and counting the minutes to see my family. When I saw them were all my family waiting for me. They were so happy of seeing me again. But at the same time i was happy because I know that they love me and miss me when i am not there.

Differences Between Citizens of US and Immigrants

There are many differences between people who are born in US and people who do not. First of all, when citizens of US travel to other countries and they come back to the US, they can enter back in without many problems. On the other hand, immigrants are checked by immigration at the airport. Second, if a US citizen commits a violation of the law, like a felony, he or she may placed under arrest and that's it. But, if an immigrant commits a crime, he or she can be deported. Finally, and not less important, the language is another topic of difference.  It is nice when you don't have a barrier to communicate with other people with a fluent English vocabulary. In contrast, if English is your not your native language, you are going to be afraid to speak in front of others. In conclusion, living in the US is better for citizens than for immigrants.

A good teacher

There are three important things that make a good teacher. First of all, teachers must have a strong character. I think, they have to send homeworks to the students. They have to force them to do exercices. Second, teachers have to teach in a dynamic way. Dynamic classes allow students not to get bored , and thus they are going to be interested in learning. Finally, they have to be understanding and ethical persons. This makes the students respect them. These are the three important things that make a good teacher.

My Experience in Morocco

My experience in Morocco

At first I was really exited at the chance of going to live in Morocco, but I had many difficulties when I moved there. First, I had problems making friends. It was difficult for me because Moroccane people speak Arabic and French. I was not able to speak those languages at the beginning. Second, the traditional clothes were opposite of what I was used to wearing. Their traditional dress is called Djellaba, it is a long, loose, hooded garment with full sleeves, and women wear Kaftans decorated with ornaments. Third, their religion was not the same as mine, and we shared different views. As in all islamic communities, the call to prayer will be heard with bells several times a day. During the holy month of Ramadam, moslims fast from daybreak until sunset. Non-Moroccan women should be sensitive to traditions concerning dress especially shorts, and skirts are considered provocative and should be avoided in villages. In conclusion, I had many difficulties when I lived in Morocco.

Trip to Bahia Principe Resort

  • Two years ago, during my vacation, my family, my friends and I travel to Bahia Principe Resort. When we arrived at the airport in Dominican Republic, the working staff were very good with us. After, we reached the hotel and reserved our rooms. Every morning, after having breakfast,we enjoyed the attractions that we had inside and out of the hotel. For example, the pool, dancing competition, parachute, visits to museums, church, assembled jet-sky, banana, swanned with dolphins, visited other hotels and learned more about the city. A few days, we visited the Julio Iglesias' island where we stayed for several hours enjoying the attractions. An activity I enjoyed was when we visited the Altos de Chavon which is very famous old house where thousands of tourists visit every year. Something that caught our attention was the great-grand children there who maintain the place in perfect conditions. Also, this place was where the movie Jurassic Park was filmed. In addition the Altos de Chavon has golf, a fountain of youth, and a huge theater. On the other hand, before returning to Miami, we went to small stores within the hotel to buy some gifts to take memories of this beautiful island. Finally, I believe it was an amazing and great experience that I would never forget in my life. In conclusion, during my vacation my family, my friends and I enjoyed travel to Bahia Principe Resort.

Cuban Houses & Miami Houses

                                                          "Cuban Houses"

The houses in USA have many differences from Cuban houses. First, here in Miami, the houses have comforts. But these comforts depend on the life style  of each  family. While in Cuba the houses have poor comforts because of the low economic development of the country. Second, all houses in the USA are covered by homeowners insurance. Although this insurance is payed by the owner of the house, this insurance has good benefits. For instance, in case of any tornado or fire, the houses are protected in case there is damage. On the other hand, in Cuba, if the house collapses during a tornado, the owners don't have any financial benefits than can help them with the damages. Also, most houses here in the USA have central air conditioning. However, only one percent of the houses in Cuba have air conditioning.  To conclude, all these differences show that houses in Miami are better than Cuban houses.

My First Day in The U.S

My First Day in The United Sates It was the most anticipated day for me, because after many years I would return to be with my mother and my brothers. It was February 28, 1987. I acknowledge that I couldn’t sleep the night before, I was very excited to be in a new country. Where I was to meet new people and a new world for me. My mother and I got up very early in the morning to go to the airport. Our flight left at 11:00 am. When we arrived to Puerto Rico, I went through immigration where I was interviewed by and officer. We hoped to go out with some of my brothers. I remember the first restaurant we went to eat was a Kentucky Fried Chicken. I visited Condado town, a tourist place of Puerto Rico. Late in the evening, we returned home, where we met all the family and I shared a good time with my other brothers.

A person who made a different in my life

My mom is the person who has made a defference in my life for several reasons. First of all she is my confidant because when I have a problem I always speak with her. Also, the second reason is that she is helpful, so if I have a bad situation she helps me very quickly. Another reason is that she is enthusiastic, in fact, when I'm next to her, I feelvery happy. Also, she is organized at home and responsabile at work. several reasons make her the best person in my life.

whole milk & skim milk

All milk is good for us, but all are not the same. Summer vs Winter

Summer and winter usually are the two favorite seasons for most of the people. However, there are some big differences between these two seasons. First of all, the most important difference is the weather and the extreme temperatures. For instance, you can wear less clothes in summer because is warm and sunny, but in winter, you need to wear warm clothes because the temperatures are so low. The other big difference is the kind of sports that people usually play in each of these seasons. For example, whereas in summer people go swimming, go to the beach, or sunbathe; in winter, people enjoy going ice skating, skiing, or playing with snowballs. The final big difference between these two seasons is the number of days off used for vacation. A clear example of this is that in summer people can plan long trips for vacation; while in winter, people take just short trips to visit their relatives. In brief, for all these characteristics, summer and winter have clear differences with one another.

"Some differences between The United States and Cuba"

There are some differences between the United States and Cuba.  I would like to develop three of the most important of them.  First, Cuba and the United States have different economic systems. For example, Cuba has a socialist economy that is based mostly on the natural resources of the country.  In contrast, the United States has a capitalist economy with a great development in agricultural production, mining and industrial energy.  This is why it is the first world's economic power.  Secondly, the educational programs between both are really different. For instance, Cuba has an excellent education system with many good programs based on widsom and cultural knowledge. The United States has a good educational system too, but the system is supported from the state and local goverments which is sometimes not sufficient to maintain.  Finally, but not less important, healthcare benefits are better in Cuba than in the United States.  In Cuba, people have the right to be treated for free when they need help.  And the state ensures that, but there is a great difference with the United States healthcare programs.  Although the United States has advanced medical technology, the majority of those resources are not accesible to every citizen.  In conclusion,I think that the differences between these two countries are apparent with all the information that I have explained in this paragraph.

Hanny vs Alondra

Also, in the away of eating they are very different. For example, Hanny likes to eat white rice. Alondra likes to eat white rice with beans and meat. Additionally, one likes to drink cold milk and the other likes warm milk.  In conclusion, given this information, the differences are apparent between my two daughters.

How to Make Mofongo

Cooking mofongo is very simple if you follow these instructions. First, peel three to four plantains under running water to make the process easier, and chop or slice them into small pieces. Second, heat vegetable oil in a frying pan (1½ in.) or deep fryer approximately 350 degrees or until crackling hot. Third, fry the plantain pieces for approximately four minutes. It is important that the plantains be cooked through but not hard. Keep in mind that they will be mashed to make the mofongo. Remove the plantains from the hot oil and place them on a paper towel to drain. Fourth, Cook ¼ lb. of salted pork or bacon with a bit of salt in a separate pan. The point of this step is to liquefy the pork fat and crisp the meat. Next, Add three to four minced cloves of garlic and 1 tbsp. of olive oil to the vegetable oil and pork. Saute the garlic and oil briefly to infuse the oil with the garlic flavor but not scorch the garlic or smoke up the olive oil. Overcooking garlic will make it bitter, and olive oil has a tendency to burn if left over high heat. After that, Combine the plantains, oil, garlic and pork into a food processor or mixing bowl. Mash all of the ingredients together. Proceed carefully if using a food processor. Pulse the mixture until you reach the desired consistency because liquefied mofongo is not always. Then, Form the mashed mixture into balls. Make the balls any size that fits your meal plans. This mofongo recipe usually feeds approximately three to four people. Form the mashed mixture into balls.
