How to Make Flan (Dominican Style)



Ingredients: 12 eggs, whole1½ cup sugar, 1 can evaporated milk, 1 can condensed milk, 1 tbp vanilla dash of salt, 2 cups sugar for caramel.

Making flan is easy if you follow these instructions. First, prepare caramelized mold. Second, using hand-held electric beater, mix eggs until creamy. Add sugar and mix until creamy. Add the milk, vanilla, and salt. Don't overbeat. Then pour into caramelized mold, cover with foil, sit in the(Baño de María) pan, then add the boiling water. Next, Bake at 350° for about 2 hrs. until inserted knife comes clean. Finally, remove from oven, lift from hot water bath and cool for about 30 min. Run a knife around the edge of the flan. Now you can unmold unto a deep dish with a cover. In conclusion, making flan is easy if you follow these steps.
